Hi All:

The FJ40 had some 235/75R15 ATs on it when I purchased the rig in 1996.

After installing the suspension kit got new wheels and a used set of 33X12.5R15 BFG Mud Kings.

Several years later the Mud kings needed replacing so bought a set of used BFG MTs 33X12.5R15.

Last spring, with the BFGs getting worn, and tired of the weak sidewalls, I bought a new set of 'Swamper TSL bias-ply 33X15.R15 tires. The TSLs are loud on the highway, but rock on the trail, without worrying about blowing a tire!

Regards,

Alan

Hmm... Let's see... My tire progression is something along the lines of:

31" May-Pops (Firestones)
31" Les Schwab muds (Wildcats, or some such crap)
<new rig>

32" Les Schwab Mud SXT
<new rig>
