I thought the 36s were huge on the cj 5. Then I went one ton on the yj and needed the ground clearance. So I just started out with a big tire. Now I just want a dual purpose wheeler/ grocery getter that I can drive to the trail, backwards huh! I can look at the 38.5in sxs and feel the bounce, so I am selling them and bought a set of new 37in MTRs. Bigger isnt always better. My last wheeling rig will likely be a one ton v8 auto fuel injected ls1 powered buggy with 40s or 42s and a bigger rim than the 15in ones I always use.

I don't even know where to start........all I can say is that in 22 years of wheeling, tire sizes have started at 31" bfg's to 47" ltb's on 5 different wheelers and over 20 different sets of tires in all shapes and sizes.

Currently on 47" ltb swampers and cannot say enough about the tires...I love them!!! they work perfect for where I wheel.......hammers, moab, rubicon and will be doing some wheeling this fall in Arizona with Sy.
