torque convertors

Anyone know much about Torque convertors? Since the thrust was gone in the motor home crank I figured I would replace it while it was apart with one of these http://store.summitracing.com/egnse...4904018+4294865440+115+4294907048&rsview=prod The machinist doing the 454 said the convertor may have "balloned" causing the thrust issues. Thoughts and imput please. thanks Jim

i just installed one in a e4od and was very happy. greatly improved bottom end pulling power for towing as converter provides minor flash and then starts to grab. very happy with this product. sea tac trans builds an ultra heavy duty converter which is an allison style 6 bolt. i installed this in my th400 and am happy with it's performance also. it's about $150 with the core.
