universal fender flares?

I was wondering if anybody has a good solution for getting the cops off your a$$ with tires wider than your truck. i am building a 4runner with full size axles and i really don't want to get pulled over everytime i drive down the road.

has anyone built some flares out of something, i mean like not $350 flare sets from 4-wheelparts.

There are the rubber flares from JC Whitney, not sure what size you need to become legal. I run them on my DD Tracker, they seem to hold up pretty well.

You can buy universal flair material in bulk form. I got 20 foot at the Kenworth store a few years ago. Cut to fit. Looks just like the stuff you see on a bus or semi truck. Reasonably priced, but not cheap. Don't remember exactly which shop it was, as it's been a few years. Available in various widths also.
