Its sad--those who take alot of there own time and be in the forfront of trying to preserve and enlarge what little areas we have have to be beat on-- And its even worse that nobody wants to work together in the fight and would rather waist time arguing.

Some of you folks need to get over yourself and look at the big picture....

:cheer:
Problem is that private landowners have to follow the same rules and laws that the DNR and FS do. It might be a little easier but you would still need to do all of the studies as they do costing big $s and then theres the nimbys and the lawsuits, again big bucks and the overall blockage. Wheelers are cheap heck they dont even support their own orgs that keep the trails open:booo: well at least most. Some are smarter than others:cheer: Not saying its a bad idea because its not Its a great idea just not practical

Lets look at the CHEAP wheeler. The will spend hundred, thousand, or even tens of thousands on our rig(s). Why could they set aside a little bit of money from the rig to the private ORV Park. If the fighting between ourselves continues, then they have won. All they have to do is wait. They have all the time. We all have a common interest, 4wheeling. We can do it on public land, which is going away, or private land. A small price to pay for a family sport, gathering, event, etc. Besides if the ORV Park is built right, than maybe we can have some big events up here! Let the park be self sustaining non-profit business.

Do not limit the thinking on this. Think BIG, VERY VERY VERY BIG! The only limitation is ourselves. :D

Mine was deleted and was not a personal attack, just my opinion that was all.
I hate walking on pins and needles around here.
It was too a personal attack. No one is asking you to stay, start your own board if you want to make rants like that. I get tired of having to continually telling everyone the same thing over and over. Like babysitting. I have said it, as many others have as well, if you guys put half the effort in doing something about the issues you see out there as you do *****ing about it amongst yourselves we'd be much more effective in getting gains in trails, not fighting to keep what we have.

Gibby, I am sorry you are stepping down. Thank you for your service and keep your head up. I know exactly how you feel, it's like doing this all day:  I tell everyone in RTW that no matter what we do, people are going to *****. We have targets on our backs. But I have asked them to persevere and look past the haters and doubters. We have a vision and a purpose. We should not be deterred by people trying to derail us. It's hard sometimes when the enemies you fight are from within your own community.

Sub, this has actually been discussed before. Actually Gibby at one time was getting sorta serious about making a purchase of some land. I am not sure where that is now, but we've kicked it over many times. I really support the idea and would love to see a co-op type ownership deal where you could buy shares in the deal. And then charge others on a pay to play basis.

I told Jim that I won't leave the position unattended. I am more disappointed and hurt by the people that I THOUGHT were my friends and have turned on me, than I am by a bunch of jerks that I don't know. I will continue to server the position to the best of my ability until a suitable replacement can be found. I care too much about what's going on to drop it all together.

I have a pretty thick skin but the actions of one person in particular was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

I have a club that want's my attention and a family that want's my attention so I'm not going to spend my precious time working for people that don't want my attention.

Our club voted last night to formally adopt the Rainier Vista and build that trail so that paperwork should be filed shortly. We will do a FANTASTIC job with this and I hope you'll all enjoy it. If you want to help with this task, let me know.

I will put a couple more cents into this..

Dale I have been in your shoes a couple times over the years but not so deep as you...

I personally think you should just blow this stupid stuff off and ignore it and keep the tract you are going as-- we honestly need more good hearted folks in these type of postions---but thats my opinion.....:;

I couldn't find anyone to help out. Wildman was helping with some research on what other parks in the country do. I'm still searching for available land. Without going WAY out where it would be impractical, the land anywhere near us of a decent size and of quality that can be used is simply doesn't pencil out.

We would have to run on donated land, but this is way off topic for this thread.

I didn't and don't see this thread as arguing but a discussion with different points of view. The discussion isn't a waste of time as we all need to be on the same page or at least have all of the info if we're going to succeed. Perhaps you have a point of view you would like to add rather than vague accusations?

I have read all the deleted post's--so no my opinion is not vague--

but your right--what do I know about fighting for what we want :awesomework: Or even trying to be on the same page..

Like I say--its my opnion on what I have read...

What's vague is what you wrote. You say "Some of you folks need to get over yourself and look at the big picture...." which is a vague comment. Name names and use quotes then maybe your post will mean something.

I didn't say anything about what you do or don't know so how could I be right or wrong about it?

And your right----but its more of a general statement because I guarantee there are ALOT of folks reading this thread that you will NEVER EVER see doing anything torwards saving the sport--the staement was not directed at any one person--or I would have puled the RICK E_THUG CARD and called them on it :redneck:

--or I would have puled the RICK E_THUG CARD and called them on it :redneck:

I'm no E thug but when it comes to politics involving important issues I don't like to beat around the bush. Some things need to be said and at the right time (which is usually immediately) regardless of stepping on some toseys.:;

I've known Gibby for a long time, and I don't know anyone that would stand toe to toe to fight for what he thinks is right like Gibby. If he does step down then all that these threads have accomplished is to weaken our sport.

I used to be a hunting guide, my family had been hound hunting for generations, and hound clubs were much like wheeling clubs, we would have dissagreements kinda like the one in this thread, in the end the opposition was more united than the hound hunters, and we lost our sport completely, and I had way more invested in hounds and equipment than any of you do in your rigs, and I lost everything, so keep that in mind the next time you all think about attacking the ones that are really working to keep a place for you to wheel.

Like Jim said earlier, united we stand divided we will fall.

I'm still not following who attacked Gibby?

your beating a dead horse Rick there were multiple posts by people saying that they wouldnt support Dale or that he was doing things all wrong. Then their were the posts that told steve he had their support(same as telling dale he didnt). Now I realize that many of you dont support the PNW but when one of our members comes out and starts circumventing the process we have in place and basicly undermining us well that just plain sucks. And to have members of this board say that they support him well thats just another kick in the nuts. I have tried myself to involve others that arnt members in the landmatters issue but I too am at my last string. I doubt that I will be sharing much of what were doing anymore. If you want to know what the PNW is doing then you will have to join or visit our site. Its just not worth the heartache and bikkering anymore. This does nobody any good.

get used to it. opinions and facts will be ignored here. only pointless rambling banter is supported around here.:cheer:

Wow, I have not been to check this board for the last 24 hrs. I have missed a lot. Lots of great Ideas out there. Pokey is wright about how hard it might be to build our own ORV park. Or start a association to do something like this. I don't think it is a impossible idea we should look into it further.
Now back on subject.
Gibby,
When I started this thread it was not a personal attack against you or the PNW. Pokey called it undermining. I call it fighting for what I believe in. I had to do some soul searching before I started this campaign to fight for our rights. I have established many friendships over the years in the PNW. I knew when I made the choice to fight this I would lose some of those friendships. I'm not doing this to undermine anyone, I'm doing this because I feel it is right, I feel we can win, I didn't feel I could go to sleep every night knowing that I could of done something and did not.
You are choosing to step down. It is sad to see you throw the towel in so easily. The PNW Does not want me to be there Rep, I am to argumentative, I'm not a towel thrower. If you choose to do this it will only hurt your own organization. You have had many accomplishments a considerable amount of success. You are doing a good job.
I know from having experience with DNR it is give and take, we would always rather take than give but that's not how things work. Gibby you have a re pore
with Nancy, In her eye's and the pnw's you are not the bad guy. I am and what I am doing has nothing to do with you or the PNW. I'm not even sure of my membership with them next year. I do plan on going to the meetings and getting involved with Elbe. I do not plan on being a PNW rep. I do plan on organizing work parties and getting involved again. You could use this as a Advantage. You ever hear of good cop bad cop. It's food for thought. The fact is I know your hurt, I have been there. I couldn't even to begin to tell you how much pain I felt when the PNW slammed there door in my face after the many hours I gave to them and everyone else. Nothing like that has happened to you here. In fact when you go to the next region meeting you will be there Hero.
You said your self That you did not support the wheel base limit. You are just now starting to learn how DNR works You also stated you were blind sided by DNR. YOUR ATHORITY HAS NOT BEEN JEPORDIZED. You do not have any authority over what the general public does, you represent a organization. I JUST REPRESENT MY SELF AND A FEW PEOPLE THAT MAY OR MAY NOT CHOSSE TO HELP FIGHT RULES LIKE THIS AND HELP GET THINGS DONE. I guess you need to do some soul searching your self. Life's to short to give up on things that are important to you. I don't plan on doing that anymore. This fight is not with you It's with DNR.

This is just rediculous. Telling someone that you will not suport them on a issue is far from a personal attack. Anyone who thinks it is really needs to grow some thicker skin and get out of politics.

Then if thats what you believe then you are willing to leave and not come back--won't hurt my feeling...
