Will it work electrical?

I'm using a Ford Mustang hydro boost. I want to know if there is any way to use the abs plug on the side to control the brake lights?

It is just a pressure switch so yes it will just have to ohm it out and see if it's NO or NC

It's actually on the side of the resivoir. I got to looking at it and thought maybe it's just a fluid level sensor

No clue about mustangs but if its in the reservoir its just a level sensor, no good for brake lights.

Maybe if he wants his lights to come on only when he runs low on fluid

There should be one on the resi and one on the end of the mc which is a pressure switch.

I'll have to ch ck. I didn't see one on the end of the mc but that would be nice

Yes I know there is one there but they ford uses two so there is a backup to turn off the cruise control in the event of one failing. The second is usually an actual pressure switch on the master cylinder or somewhere else in the system.


Edit: did a little searching and the Mustangs have both switches on the pedal.
