nawww Ill just do what I always do, I work so hard for this I think I should get some of it for the jeep. then when its alot of money I say sorry.

Nothing? I already got my fun stuff, now I just gotta finish paying off my plane ticket to the caribbean and my TV.

I claim zero and last year was the first full year paying on my house :clappy: , I just hope I didn't make too much :booo: (I don't know where the line is drawn)

I claim 0 and I have $16000 in write offs (moving expenses) so this will be the first year I get to itemize. Should be 100% of what I've paid in. :D

I'm looking at at least $800... not as much as some of you, but I'll put a good dent in some of the bills. :clappy: :clappy:

Those of you that haven't gotten your w-2's, they are supposed to be post marked no later than Jan 31st. By LAW! I'd call them up and and say, hey, by law they should be out, where the f! are they!

Got my return deposited today! Yaaayyy!! Filed online, and electronic deposit! Got over $5ooo fed, I'm afraid to see what state has to say!
so, hello new 22re and goodbye 22rte!

$1000.00 for each child. I have my taxes done, but I cannot file since the IRS has not provided the forms I need. Something about congress not approving some kind of money / ruling regarding the IRS.

Anyhow, everyone buy a house. Since your payments in interest are deductible, you can save some coin.

And a big truck, you can deduct the sales tax. :flipoff:

We always try to hit $0 and the last couple of years we've had to pay about $100 or so. So not too bad. But this year we jumped up a few tax brackets and we both got good size bonuses, which is taxed at some ungodly rate. So we'll get a nice return this year.

$2300 this year - almost exactly the price we just paid for the plane tickets to Cabo next month. :clappy:

I'm getting almost $1300 and WT's getting over $1300. But it's all going towards the wedding and honeymoon. :clappy:

I just wish they would hurry up and deposit all that in the friggen bank account!!!

Ahh. See, I LOVE Maui, and I've never been anywhere in Mexico besides Tijuana, so this is a little bit of a gamble for me. But we got a house big enough to allow us to bring along a couple babysitters :clappy: .

You have no idea how funy that is--no idea.

I have an idea.....How about everyone give me $250 a month and at the end of the year, I will give it ALL back to you, Promise. What? You don't trust me? But the Federal government is OK in your book, cause that's basically what you are doing when you get a big return. You are giving the government an interest free loan. They wouldn't do the same for you. I know things change from year to year, but it's not that hard to arrange your W-4 so that you get a little less back. It's even better to owe a couple hundred. What could you do with an extra $250-300 a month???

/Climbs down off of soapbox

I have an S-Corp. and an LLC with the 2553 election, so I get back more than I pay in, and there is no way to set up a W-4 for that. :kissmyass:

Obviously, some people have unique situations. I also own a small business and know how all of the different deductions can affect your tax situation. I bet for the majority of people on this board, though, it is just a case of letting Uncle Sam hold on to thier money for free.
