It was mentioned in the "weapons of war thread" that we need a Hardline range day because were missing out on some fine guns. I dont like missing out so lets see what were missing. What do you guys like/dislike?

I'm personally a huge fan of the entire Springfield XD series of pistols, Savage heavy barrel bolt guns are a heck of a value, as for AR's I have a M&P-15 but dont feel the need for more than one AR style rifle.

Google just told me to tell you to fawk off, douche canoe! :flipoff1:

Back to topic, I like me some badass tactical high cap shotguns. I love some fancy smancy 1911 pistols, I'm just too cheap to buy any ornate pieces like that. And yeah, I like Glocks....they are like the Toyotas of guns. Who doesn't like a Toyota? :flipoff1:

I love odd calibers. Always have. Pistols: 10mm, 357sig, 41mag, 440 corbon, 9x25 dillon, 454 casull, and my favorite the 460 rowland

Rifles: 22mag, 22 hornet, 30 carbine, 7mm saw, 7mm gpc, 338 federal, 338 rcm, 338-378 weatherby, 35 remington, 375 ruger, 950 jdj

But truthfully, If a man has a 45, a 308, a 22, and a 12ga, he can do it all

Shameless plug:

For those that don't know, my buddy builds the nicest 1911 grips on the planet:

Re:

AR set up for long range, like prairie dogs or steel plinking. (Think 4" dueling tree @500+ yards)

Silencers on high power rifles. Changes the whole feel of shooting a full power rifle round

Anything kimber makes in 1911 handguns. I like ruger m77 riffles , I have a 270 and a 300 wm. Both shoot in one moa with hand loads. I like ruger old west
style hand guns in 45 long colt..I have several...they are balanced well for fast shooting. I am not much of a shot gunner, but I do have a Winchester 101 over/under that I handle ok. The ar platform is ok, but I like my ruger ranch in .223.....remengton probably makes the best "out of the box" bolt gun but I have only one and it's a 40x br. That's a custom gun shop build and it's not fair to compare it to any factory gun. My .02

I love the xd pistols as well. One of my favorite rifles is the saiga 308. I also love shooting my hi-point 40 carbine.

Mainly what I was getting at in the other thread was doing a range day and let folks try out different guns. Heck I love my rock island 9mm 1911 but most just think rock island is junk gun.

Ok yeah I gotcha on that, I bought a Keltec Sub 2000 in 9mm for Glock Mags a little while back and it is an absolute blast to shoot especially at steel plates. It folds in half and fits easily into a backpack along with 4 30rd mags. I'd say that anyone who hasnt tried a pistol caliber carbine is missing out for sure.

I had a Hi Point 4095 carbine one time, wish I had it back! Here are a few guns I've had that were cool. Most were sold during my wheeling addiction while going broke buying parts. Lol

1st is a Mossberg 12 ga Persuader, had pistol grip then converted to AR stock with side saddle.

2nd is the Hi Point 4095 carbine

3rd is a S&W 15-22. That was a fun little gun to shoot, wish I had another.

I now have this Remington Desert Recon 12 ga. Completely factory like this. My favorite shotgun I've ever had, not for sale. Stock holds two shells in each side, breacher tip, etc.

S&W m&p 15 the wife bought me for xmas pictured as well.

1911 Cheap ones, expensive ones, custom ones, off the shelf ones, they are all fun to shoot. I want to build an AR10 for long range stuff. I will never "need" a tactical AR for sweeping rooms and all that jazz so I think I will just build a cool long range gun. I would be more likely to use a tactical shotgun.

I guess since it is not a tactical assault weapon it doesn't count as a weapon of war, but my Grandaddy's Ruger Super Blackhawk 44mag is fun to shoot as well. I want to kill a deer with it just like Davy Crockett. It gets a lot of attention at the range, and as a prop for a halloween costume at church ;D

If anyone has one of those full auto 12 gauges id really like to shoot it. drool

Couple wishlist items. I'm a sucker for FDE guns.

Sig Scorpion 1911

Glock 19X

Kimber Ultra Raptor II

Being a lifetime 1911 fan, I just want to say there is no way I'd spend Dan Wesson money on a Kimber. Kimber used to be a semi custom gun with hand fitted quality control, now, not to much. They are more on par with a Ruger as far as quality goes. Meaning it is very nice, but for $1000 + (in some cases) there may be much better options out there

Can you shoot it one handed like this one?

For distance shooting I love my Ruger M77 bolt rifle in 7mm rem. mag. / Handgun is a Springfield XD .45 / Shotgun is new, Im still breaking it in, but so far I love it. AK 12 guage, its crude and rude, but puts 11 rounds of 00 buck downrange before quick! / And my absolute all around gun I would take over all others in a end of the world/bug out situation: 1960 Winchester lever action .22 magnum. holds 15 rounds, shoots accurate out to 125 yards or so, not super loud, ammo is light weight, and it will put food on the table or enemies in the ground. I would rather have that rifle than an AR in a survival situation.
