Competition Winches

Thatd be awesome. I am always looking for ways to speed up a winching session.

Enzo has some video that will make any winch look like the speed of a ratchet strap! :****:

I've been thinking about a winch like this for mine as well, but I did see one thing on the Quadratec winch you linked that would not make me happy. The line speed is 8.6 fpm, which they claim is "fast". That's really super slow. A Warn Zeon or Ramsey 9500 is 33 fpm, and the Warm 9500 cti is 47 fpm. My Mile Marker Winch is 18 fpm, which is really slow, so I can't imagine a winch at half that speed. The Warn Competition winch that the Quadratec resembles has a 47 fpm line speed, of course it costs 2.5X as much. The only possibility would be if the 8.6 fpm is at the rated pull of 10K, which would be similar to the Warn which is rated at 6.4 fpm at 9000 lbs.

Edit - never mind, I was dumb and just read the written paragraph and didn't scroll down to see the 8.6 fpm is at 8000 pounds, so this is actually a very good speed. May have to look into one of these...
