I would like to build a round tube buggy trailer to haul my Smith buggy, anyone ever built ,seen one? Have any pictures , napkin drawings thoughts? Want something a little nicer, cooler than the average car trailer.

Not saying it can't be done. BUT you would have to brace the **** out of it to get it to be strong enough, it would want to bow pretty bad especially hauling a rig.IMO stick with a regular style trailor and bling it out

Sort of like this?

I also dig this one but I travel too far to trust a single set of tires. I like the peace of mind that a dual axle trailer brings for when I have a blow out........

I thought of using 4" tubing for the main rails and bending up 2" for everything else. Lot's of bent tube so it's blurred where the buggy ends and the trailer begins.

The dual axle that I posted above is all 1.5'' x .120 wall. All the bracing is 1" x .120 wall. Its been around for years from what i'm told. Weighs 800LBS as pictured with the boxes and spare mounted on the trailer.

Current owner said the only thing he would change is to make it square tube where the outer rail mounts to the axles. Not for strength but just to make joining the tubing and axles easier.
