Pokeys rebuild

wow its been a while since I have updated this. Sorry but my welding skills havent improved much:haha: In this set we have the front springs done as well as the rear springs. I put flanges on the shock tower brace so I dont have to cut it out to remove the motor if needed.

In this set Tonight I redid the motor mount x member so that if needed the oil pan could be removed without having to lift the motor:redneck:

I've always wondered about those, makes for a nice clean install. My push type is too close to the exhuast.

Let me know how it works.:;

Your crossmember tube looks a little thin 1/8"?

In my toy I had to build a heat shield for my push type slave. The fluid would get hot and the clutch would go out.

Ya I used to have a heat shield on mine when it had headers, but its not really needed with manifolds. Still the fluid breaks down over time.

yea its 1/8 and everytime i look at it I think the same thing. I need to figure out a way to either beef it up or make another one:booo: was thinking about adding a piece of bar stock down the center on edge to help keep it from bowing. Had the same issues with the slave on the old rig thats why I wanted to try this.

Easier to fix it now......
