What do you need as far as the tub goes? I have a buddy that has a CJ-5 with a brand new fiberglass tub and front end that's been sitting in his yard for years, I bet you could get it pretty cheap.

Am I the only one to notice the body sits 4 or 5 inches off center?

getting some of the bodywork done. problem comes when trying to put a shorter body on a longer frame and wheelbase. even with moving the tub forward 4" I still needed to add 7" to the front fenders to clear the shock hoops and hav enoungh room for a radiator.

Also had to add 7" to the hood so I cut the front off of an old hood to add on. then discovered that the hood tapers quite a bit so a section had to be taken out of the middle. this created a hood that looks like one off of a willys pu or wagon by creating a point in the center. looks kinda cool so I havent decided wether to leave it or square it off to make it look like a flatty:eeek:

jeeze you could have linked the page at least so I didnt have to go hunting:booo: . The gaskets are to keep the water from getting in and rusting the tube out.

This thread should be called "Turd Polishing 101"..Joking, nice work so far Pokey.

Were's the pics of your purdy new floor?

Well I dont know about purdy but their in now:cheer: sure looked nice with all the bends (thanks Kevin) but then some butcher with a welder got ahold of them:booo: Maybe some pics tonight

I still cant believe with all the smart asses on here that nobody has commented about the gaskets:haha:

That tub was going to be even more work than this one as well as I never would have been able to put a top on it if I wanted to. Plus this one has a tailgate which is something I wanted on this jeep. The column is a tilt tele one from a early buick I think. I dont really care for the wheel but dont know if I can change it with the telescoping feature.
