We got the buggy done on Wens at 3am. Went to work for the day then while loading up the buggy found that the steering pump had a bad leak and was done. Had to borrow one off a budy's buggy. We ended up leaving at
6pm.

Stopped in E-burg for some food found out that all the coolant was freezing, felt like the hoses were full of slushy. Had to run the buggy and pour hot water from the McDonald's coffee machine to thaw the radiator. Once we got that all warmed up addded more coolant and we were on our way.

Then we hit Northern Nevada dessert where we hit -26deg. It was so cold that the windows were freezing on the inside. It never went above 0 degs from Yakima all the way to Ely, NV. Made it to Vegas in 19hrs. Spent the night at our friends.

Took off Fri morning for Tucson. I was asleep in the back when I wake up to us coasting off the freeway. We ran out of ****ing diesel about 10 miles from the race track. Had to hitch a ride to the gas station bought a 2 gallon gs can for $12. Got a ride back to the truck. Found out 2 gallons was not enough to prime my truck, so now it was Keith's turn to get fuel. He had to run about a mile each way to the fuel station. He tryed to get a ride from some hot chick at the gas station but got denied. We finally got the truck running, drove to the nearest gas station where the ****ing machine ate
$10, the gas lady said that I ****ed up and it was my fault, so tough luck. So now i've spent almost $30 on 2 gallons of gas, I was pissed. Luckily i text Lil Rich and told him we were going to be late to tech. Good part is we got hooked up with Master Pull, super cool guys.

First day of competition. Ran out of time on A1 cause we were being dumb, had to warm up. On A2 we were killing it had already done a 10 point bonus and was going for the second 10 point bonus when my tie rod end tore in half with 6min still on the clock and only 2 gates to finish. Kieth ran back to the truck grabbed my spare and changed it out in under 6 min. So if were carrying a spare we would have had enough time to finish. Dumb mistake. On A3 we killed it had the best score of the day. On A4 we killed that one as well and were the only ones to do the 10 point bonus climb, once again highest score.

On Sun. Got to the comp site was prepping for the race found out that my ARB compressors shorted out and we had to do A1 in 3 wheel drive so we only got one of the 10point bonuses. Took break down time, had to borrow a CO2 tank from Shannon Cambell and jerry rigged it work. On A2 we rocked the coarse. On A3 we once again killed it, think we got a -34. Then on A4 we didn't know that all we had to do was finish the coarse cleanily and we would have qualified for KOH. We thought we needed some extra points so we tryed the same bonus that we made in the pic above but backwards and hit the cone. Finished the coarse and ended up with -3. About 20 minutes later we found out that we lost our spot by 5 ****ing points! All we had to do was not go for that bonus and we would be in. Still pretty pissed but what are you going to do. Learned a good lesson.

Once we get home I will post some more pics. I think we took about 400.

Bummer you didn't make it:booo:, but looks like it was nice down there!!!:awesomework: Can't wait to see more pics....

wow, intense!

too bad about the KOH thing, math doesn't sound like your strong point! :fawkdancesmiley: (kidding!:awesomework:)

What did you guys place overall?!

Damn guys! Can't wait to see you and the buggy when you get back. So I take it the 40's, the new Atlas, and the Freshly triangulated links worked well:awesomework: Glad bout that. Bummed about KOH

that pic is SICK!

Tie rod didn't rip, the Heim did. I don't think that Tie rod could rip unless maybe I was driving.:hi:
I was kinda in disbelief thinking that a bunk tie rod broke. I kinda figured it would have had to be the heim. :awesomework:

The big block parts shitter

Oh, it will be a spectacle for the ages. I can see it now (Me)"Watch this", (The parts shitter)Brrrraaaaapppppp Boooooom (inocent bistandard)"ahhhhhh there's a driveshaft stuck in my head" (me)"Sorry about that, you shouldn't have been standing so close" (Brad) "Is it safe to come out of the fox hole now?"

Same as your links, But on the steering:cheer:

I think he mat switch it up when he gets home to the ones that I have. 7/8 with a 3/4 hole. Just a lot more beef around the ball to not tear like this one did. I think the PSI rating is like double as well. Even though the PSI rating might not make a difference in that application. Not sure?
