I've been lucky enough to be on the UA 4 times. It's fun but it's also a ton of work. Driving for all day then getting to your campsite after midnight. Then you set up your camp and work on your rig so you can make the 8:00 driver's meeting and go wheelin. I found that most guys had more trouble on the road days. Is your rig set up to drive 300 miles in a day at 65+ MPH? Do you have 200 mile fuel range? You'd be surprised how many don't.
The guys on this trip are very lucky with our weather. Try all of this when it's nearly 100* and 95% humidity! On one trip down south, the local trail guide warned us about going off trail to...a....use the facilities. He said..."remember, if it's green it's poisonous".
Some of the UA stories you would not believe. What you see in the mags pales to what really happens on these trips. Good memories for sure!!:redneck:
