That is an Artec 4 banger quart crate. They make a larger one too.

That's what i thought it was but placement i wasnt sure. How hard will it be to get out between the seats? or can you go in from the back?

I don't think it will be too hard to access. I don't plan on needing to get any fluids out very often, just wanted to be able to carry a few quarts just in case. That was the best location that we could find for it that was out of the way but accessible if I did need something.

It’s actually not bad to access. You can reach between the seats, unlatch and flip the lid up easily and it’s far enough back that you’ll never hit your elbow on it seated

Just want to give a huge thanks to Chris @MarsFab for building a buggy that exceeded my expectations. Now it's up to me to finish it and not screw up all his amazing work.

The next couple days will be spent cleaning up my shop so I have enough room to start tearing the buggy down and get it ready for paint.

Please ignore how badly my trailer needs a fresh coat of paint.

Me too. I'm going to order a cheap Amazon crane scale to weigh the bare chassis. And a buddy is gonna borrow some racecar scales so we can weigh the complete buggy.

Tear down is complete. Got a paint booth scheduled for about 3 weeks from now when my buddy can paint it. Hopefully between now and then I can get alot of the mechanical things done, rebuild air shocks, new gaskets and seals on the engine and trans, build the Yota t-case, etc.

Chassis will be black. Side panels, roof and hood will be vinyl wrapped red satin chrome. Haven't decided on colors for dash, grill and rear taillight panel.

Very cool! Any interest in using a clear coat for the dash so it looks like @MarsFab tin work but will be preserved/protected?

After some delays the chassis is finally painted. Hopefully start reassembly on Thursday and Friday when I'm off work.

@ridered3 local guy has a paint booth at his house that I rented out for the weekend and I had a buddy spray it. SPI black epoxy primer is what's on the chassis and the axles. Wanted something that was easy to touch up down the road with some semi-gloss black rattle can.

That's cool on the rent-able paint booth and good call on future touch ups.
