Here's a little progress I made a few weeks ago. This project has been on hold due to trying to buy a piece of property with a much larger shop but...

After the front suspension was done it was obvious that the driveshaft was going to hit the lower link, the front shaft is a 2 piece that runs thru a custom carier bering thingy I made so I have options of where it can go on the upper end. The solution was to rebuild this frontend for the 3rd time in a year and put in a high-pinion along with some other goodies.

Jason decided to go with hub flanges so while he tore the rest of the axle apart I drilled the hub for the 6 dowel pins

Originaly I was going to put the detroit out of the original 3rd in the hp but realized it wasnt going to work, as the old 3rd was a 4cyl and hp's use v6 internals. I wanted it back togeather so I robbed the ARB out of the back of my wife's 4runner project and stuffed it in the hp 3rd along with a new set of 5.29's.

We also installed a set of 6 shooter knuckles and high-steer arms to help cope with the hydro steering.

All back togeather we now have no driveline interfernce isues :awesomework:

Nothing's changed. I dont even like building things anymore

I'l finish it 12 hours before memorial day weekend this spring as per usual:D

I just finished reading this whole thread and damm. I have seen a ton of toy to buggy builds and the design on this one is killer. I would have loved to see you bend up that one rear tube:awesomework:

I cut the runner up and it will be done before the rental:fawkdancesmiley: :fawkdancesmiley: :haha: :haha: :stirpot:

way to go...it happens though with Mr. Daniels at your side. :redneck: :haha:

Does your toy have the 5.0l in it? We met someone last year or the year before in your group that has a 5.0l in their rig, they were have radiator issues up in the snow.
