toyota update

i installed the new motor mounts and got the engine back in and moved back 8 inches to make more room for the winch and radiator...also got the dual cases connected to the transmission now... next will be the crossmember and i can start laying to floor bracing....here are some pics of the progress

Lemme get this correct... you moved the engine back & dual transfer-case'd it?

You are going to have a LOOOOONNNNGGGG front driveline.

Nice....its lookin good.

I can't remember if I moved mine 8 or 10 but it definitly helped.:awesomework:

no i am going to have 2 front driveshafts... a flat one along the case and part of the trans with a carrier bearing then the second shaft drop down from there to the front axle.

if you don't know what i am talking about look at most of the f-toy builds on pirate4x4

thanks andy... i wanted to ask you ... how wide did you make your inside.. if you measured the firewall, how wide is it... hendrix chassis are 43 i think i want to go alittle wider.(best part about building your own!!!)

Right of hand im not sure. And my rig is down at the glass shop right now getting my widshield installed. I will throw a tape on it when I get it back tomaro. I know I made it as naro as I could........

I went out and measured it and it is 58 inches wide at the tub....firewall.
seems realy wide compares to 43......hmmmmm
whatever works I guess.

The steering linkage, u-joints, and heim joint came in today from Speedway motors another package with linkage stops and a steering wheel QD from Jegs should be here today also.

Still waiting on the switch panel from 12voltguy he said 2-4 weeks

as for efi i just need to get a ignition/coil assembly an O2 sensor and a mass air sensor from a 1990 and i believe i have the rest
