What did you break today?!?!!

Time to fix last weekends carnage... Broke a rear driveline, and rear anti wrap bar... And had a brake fluid leak on the left rear... Got a new driveline, and a welder! Hope the brake fix isn't too terrible... Should be trail ready for tomorrow!!

The slip shaft is off the wrap bar at the moment... Hoping I can just slip it on, weld the break... Then stiffen it up with some short little gussets/spreaders... If it fails again... I might rethink the geometry or remove it...

not today

this was a while back in a subaru, broke both rear axles at the same time, on rons run at the top big rock, also put a hole in the engine oil pan same time and spot, , then got pulled out by a Cherokee and lost my steering, great day on the trail, Ive never had it that bad I have always been able to drive Home sept that one time,

Broke a hub in the middle of the Busy Saturday. Made getting out even more fun.

my buddy jerry had a rock shaped like a little arrow head go into one of his front tires on his tow rig at elbe yesterday

Driveline is in... Pulled the wrap bar off to reweld it properly, left the mounts on... Tightened up the t-case mounts, and acquired three stock sammi rubber mounts to replace next time my fix fails.... Checked a few other things over, and spent a long time trying to clean the mud outta my rims so I stop having slow flats... It's crazy how packed that mud gets in that rim bead! And it's a PITA to clean back out of there! I'm sure I've got a ton of mud, rocks and water inside the tire now trying to clean em out... How worried should I be about that? Is it proper to completely take the tire off the rim to clean everything spotless ? Or just get the bead clean and a little bit of junk won't hurt inside?

that wasn't you that was still stuck in the busy sunday morning.we was told that there was still a rig broken on busy

I got out easy enough. Breaking the hub just made for a ton more cable pulling. I'd shoot a section once and if I didn't make it I'd pull cable from where I stopped so I didn't hurt the trail any. Just made for good exercise is all.

I know the guy with the IFS yota on 33s following Ty made it out. Must have been a Sunday group.

It was a blast getting him through there. He ended up with two smashed doors, a slightly bashed in tailgate from someone giving him a nudge:redneck:, a taillight hanging out, ripped off bumper, ripped off grill, torn out headlight, crumpled fender, and a flat tire...:D. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!:D

Almost sounds like duneblasters maiden run on his 'newly traded for' yota! Lol. That was a brutal day... I feel for them guys!
