2. do you have to remove the plastics to install the cage or just loosen up the bungs and pull out the cage
3. the bungs that i buy to tie in to the old ones do you have to buy factory ones or does somebody make some that will work with factory or can you just cut the old ones out and replace them with some off the shelf ones that i choose
4.is the factory cage 1.750 or some oddball size

1.To remove the factory cage, just unbolt the 4 allen head bolts on the A pillar and (on the 800, at least) there are 3 bolts on each B pillar. 1 of them has a nut welded to the back side, the other 2 have nuts you need to put a wrench on.
2. No plastic removal necessary.
3. Joey Gilbert (205-368-9842) can hook you up with all the tube clamps you need. They match up with the factory ones. If you plan on tying it into a rear bumper, you will need to put bungs on it also. Same with front bumper. You will also need the plates that sit where the B pillar bolts on, a rear bumper plate, and a front mounting plate.
4.Factory is 1.75x.065 I believe.

The rough in-order way of doing things is-
Call Joey and get the a-pillar clamps, b-pillar plates, 2 sets of clamps for rear bumper, rear bumper plate, 2 sets of clamps for front bumper, and under diff mounting plate.
Bolt up a pillar clamps, b pillar plates, and rear bumper plate onto the rzr.
From there, we started my cage off the rear bumper plate and worked our way to the main cage.
Once everything is build and tacked in place, you cut out the tube to put your front and rear bumper clamps in.
When you get it light you want it, pull it off and finish weld.

Spend some time in the sxs forum and check out my thread, then give Joey Gilbert a call. He will get you set up.

Man yea i appreciate it im just waiting on him to give me an answer i kinda figure he wont want to do it because of the price but for all the work and material goin into it i didny think iy was a bad price i could be wrong but i figured about 25 to 2700 for a 4 seater cage front and back bumpers sliders and ecerything tied in together

Its just the price that i came with i kinda priced it high bt it really wasny that high for the tube i figured around 200 ft for everything then 2 bottles of argon, tig wire, cut off wheels, buffing pads, tube bungs, powder coat and some plate and without my labor added i was at 2200 just for material and consumables but with labor i figured about 500 so 2700 is what i told the guy

And i dont think that was too bad for the amount of work it was goin to take to fab all that up and tig out but i could be wrong i have built several cages for friends and myself but i aint never charged anybody for it so i didint know about the labor

Ahh you are building one for somebody. I gotcha. Well, IMO, thats pretty high. Then again the only prices I ever see are for 2 seaters, not 4's.

I did this for$1500 with AL top. Used .120 wall welded seam and wire weld.

200 ft is too much. Maybe half that. You must have a small bottle as well. I run 300cf bottles and they last months. I charge for consumables, but not for an entire bottle for every job. Our 4 seaters with bumpers usually land around $2200

So the price for cage bumpers and sliders was not bad off were i got estimate for the footage was a jeep me and a buddy just finished and hell i bet we got atleast 160 in it and its the cage and backhalf i told the guy that 200 ft was prob too much and i would have some left over but he was also wanting a diff looking cage other than a foctory look
