Very cool "looking" dash from the design point but from a function point it looks completely wrong!!! With a harness on and fully tight, I don't see you being able to reach the shifters or radio and unless your seat is mounted high I don't see you looking over the dash to well either. Definitely some awesome craftsmanship though!!!!!

The entire dash design is based on function. Aesthetics always come after.

Man I'm not trying to be a **** but having the all the gauges mounted where you have to look down and to the right while driving. The dash looks cool but it looks like it is form over function, I think you missed your calling the streetrod custom car guys would be all over something like that.

Never drove an older jeep have ya? Say pre 95? All those you had to look down and to the right to see the gauges and people manage to drive them just fine.

No I am proud to say I have never been in a jeep, that said there is a reason gauges are mounted straight ahead of you just below the line of sight for the best function. I like the dash but its style over function.

Well, I thought I was going to work tonight, but they sent me home cause I was late again.... booyang

I should probably stop turning away fab projects, cause they're gonna fire my ass, like that movie "Waiting. lol

Got a Tacoma project that we need to get in here. I guess everyone can consider us open for business. I will try to put up a list somewhere of things we can accomplish.

That gauge location is more than adequate IMO. Mine are in that area, just a little higher, and I have zero issues checking them even at high speed.

Carry on DG, although I'm skeptical of the tube design the craftsmanship and the design of the dash is panty dropping. I can't wait to see what comes of all this when it's complete.

Who the hell looks at there gauges when riding anyway? I have never ran a tach in anything I wheeled either. If your watching a tach you aint beatin it hard enough!

Agreed. That what rev limiters and floating valves are for. :)

I don't think i've ever noticed rear shocks leaning back like that before, maybe its because the suspension is drooped… is there a performance benefit?

pretty common. You can get the same or more travel out of the same vertical position.

how do you get more travel? A 4 link gets shorter as it drops down. the rear will move towards the cab(tub). so you would get less travel out of the shock

I couldn't narrow down which chapter of the suspension novel to explain, so I will just say PJ built it just about at good as it could be built under a jeep tub. The force of the compression is traveling straight into the cage. If it was mounted straight up the jeep would either sit higher or have less up travel. I tuned the shocks for the mounted position, so that is the performance advantage, along with the chassis reliability that PJ formed.

As far as I am concerned with the travel, it looks to me like the shock is mounted perpendicular with the angle of the lower link. Therefore giving you basically 1 to 1 motion ratio and total control.
