Hey everybody I'm new to the site but not offroading. I been riding in the woods almost 30 years in anything that would take me there never really worried about getting back. I'm from montevallo Al I've been checking y'all out for a while and have enjoyed it so I thought I would join so here I am. This is my mud and river truck
e5u9epyd.jpg

I build this out of a couple of trucks 454 stroke out to a 513 400 hp 14 rear not locked right now Dana 44 up front it's locked but it needs a 60 so maybe I would quit snapping axles about 12 inchs of lift. This is my hill climber it's ugly but tough. I've flip it about thirty different times and it ain't killed me yet.

New to the site, figured id post a few pics of my college budget rig..

Started as a k20 then tossed in a 14bolt/dana60 out of dad's crawler and drove it through high school

bu7e4e3e.jpg

Got the tires from another one of dad's projects so we ran it like this till college started getting busy and then I parked it for a few years

Which leads us to where it is now...

zejuze9e.jpg

Chopped 13 inches out of the frame , reworked the rear springs and tossed a sort of bed on it until I can afford a bender to truly back half it

ebyre9e9.jpg

Specs on it now is a fresh 463ci BBC, th400 with a Hughes convertor, twin stick np205, 1 tons with 4.56's and Detroit's

She's not the best looking but like most projects has money in the right places

Here is my immortal cherokar. The 4.0 sees the rev limiter on a daily basis but still goes where I point it.

Damn not sure how I missed this thread but so far I have seen some badazz rigs. This one should keep me occupied for awhile!

Re: Re: Newbies Post Up Here - Rig Specs & Info Thread

All tube chassis built by me. First one I've done. 4seater, 115" wb, 20" belly , 6.0 with cam kit, 350 turbo manual vb and ptc converter, doubler, 60 /14 , 39.5 boggers on tw Fab locks with my designed outters. Nothing bought that could be built!

Imma lurker if the name doesnt give it away, but I figured I might as well post my junk. '86 Waggy aka "Rattle Trap". big block/th400/205 on 38" sx,5" rear stretch. Bought to DD, info was that just needed a "little tlc", little did i know a " little tlc" means rebuild the entire thing >.> Amc 360 that was "gone thru" before i got it turned out to be a big melted down hunk of ****,floor pans were junk under the carpet, haggard "lift kit" was also included. So i started hacking all that off and bout 5 months of head scratching and mistakes that had to be redone(some mine, some the P.Os) I got what you see below. With all my money gone with the purchase of what should have been a running truck, i had no budget to work with so its no highdollar pieces and parts here just junkyard specials and man hours making **** most normal people would have bought. Ill post up a build thread on of these days i guess. Before anyone states the obvious..yea i know i need one tons >.<

this is what Ive managed to cobble together as of a couple weeks ago with no money or skills. Stretched the rear openings to match the 5" rear stretch and made some halfdoors for the rear since this pic.

New to the forum, my name is scott I live in black creek ga (outside savannah) I've been off-roading most my life, mostly mud but I'm changing my ways and aiming for trails and rocks. Here is my current project/ lawn ornament or paperweight. It's a 69 f100 body on a 73 f250 chassis, 390 engine np435 trans w/divorced 205 tcase, ff60 rear and a broke ass HD44 front, stock height w 33" boggers. I bought it not running in March, got it running and soon after started the teardown once I found the number of issues the previous owner forgot to mention. My to do list: 1. Lose 18" out of the frame to obtain 115" wheelbase. 2. replace 44 with a 60 3. Re wire EVERYTHING because the previous owner clearly didn't own a manual, wire strippers, soldering gun or common sense! 4. a minor rebuild on the 390, mostly just clean it up and have it acid dipped (there's a good bit of gunk in the block) possibly pick up an aluminum intake and new carb. So she's sitting for a while as I save parts money, wrench and web wheel. I hope to have this POS on the trail sometime next spring.
