4x4 vans

Very cool but that could probably be done to a brand new one for under 70. I would have to look again but I think my 3500 work van stickered for around 38k so that leaves another 30k or more for upgrades.

All together I would think there is less than 10k in added parts unless I missed something important. Yeah def not worth 95.

I guess it depends on just how close to the river you want to get. :fish:

I'd drive one, would make a good tow pig and place to sleep in, and you go possibly get your broke junk out of the woods with it? :dunno:

All the time. I love 4x4 conversion vans and will own one someday. Quigley and ujoint in Asheville nc also build some badass vans.

Some of these vans are downright BADASS! I was looking through their "builds" page and they have even built some class C motor homes... drool

I'm in the market for a new tow rig and thought about going this rout. But I'd have to find a van and slowly build it myself as money came in. No way, NO WAY i'd pay anything close to 95k for anything to drive :****:

I have thought more than once about taking a E350 with a 7.3, swapping in a 4x4 trans and a superduty front. Would be nice.

A buddy of mine had a Quigley ford handicap van. 4x4 with 31" bfg mt's. I remember getting towed behind it in a john boat through 16" of snow. Best part was the wheelchair lift inside the side door. Made it easy to load his little 3 wheeler. And it was doodoo brown.

When I was younger my dad had a 94 chevy astro van with the all wheel drive and a 4.3. He put the biggest tires he could get on it and drove the hell out of it. He took it everywhere hunting. Pulled a few 4x4 trucks out with it. I begged him to let me have it when I started driving.
