Recently bought a '15 silverado dually , gonna have to put a little bigger tire on it , possibly a 285/75/17 , any ideas on what spacer to run for the rear , pics & info will be appreciated , thanks

I've done 2 2008 duallys the same way. I used 2" spacers on both with 285/75-17 trail grapplers.

I do not know the name brand. Honestly there probably cheap ones as I let my buddy order them when he ordered my tires but No I've never had any problems.

I run Motorsport-tech.com wheel spacers they are aluminum hubcentric..Make sure u get hubcentric spacers so they want vibrate

Bringing this back up since I'm about to go from 255/80/17=33"x10.50" to a 34-35x12.50 equivalent. Is it necessary to go with a 2" spacer or could you get by with less? I don't want to have too much space between the duals like some I've seen.

I did 2" on mine with 285's , a little more space than I wanted , but I'll probably go with 35/12.50 in the future so the 2" will be good for them , from what I've heard anything less than 2" you have to cut wheel studs off some , no big deal but just didn't want to do that on a new truck

I just installed mine last week. I researched it to death then bit the bullet and called Fred at wheeladapter.com

Great people to work with and after talking to them instead of reading internet info, I felt 100% comfortable running their spacers.

I went 2" wide per their advice and am going 285 tires.

Regardless of what you buy, you have to run hub centric as well as wheel centric!!

Slight derail, , what the biggest tire you can run without spacers?

I THINK 235-85 but only with light towing. I have those on mine now and they touch when loaded just a tad. I didn't want to take any chances so I put on spacers while I wait to wear them down and buy 285s.

Actually it's a 255/80/17. I've been running them for about 20k miles pulling extremely heavy loads. They do touch slightly but not enough to hurt anything. The only problem is there is only 2 tires made in that size: BFG mud terrain and Cooper S/T Maxx. I'm running the coopers and have gotten good service out of them except my rears seen to wear a bit fast because of my heavy foot and all the torque that my Cummins makes, the fronts are in great shape :dunno:
