The Gee-Tar thread

BTW, new LOG album is out now! I like how Randy's voice is deepened and darker on some songs! Overall, a cool change for them. When bands do this, it usually sucks, but LOG continues to put out great albums.

I play.

a lttle...

You're rich.

a lot...

nah...although I couldn't buy 'em now for what I paid....
One of the few things I have spent $$ on that is now worth more!

mostly vintage ibanez, some jap fender, and a really nice lp custom w/the shaw p-ups and crank out tuners...

I had an accident 2 years ago, cut tendons in my left hand small finger. Still can play, but want to 'thin the herd'

I REFUSE to sell them on eBay; between giving them 13% and the risk during shipping.

And then there's still a large PA to get rid of!

Re:

Chords on acoustic to learn in standard. D,G,Cadd9 and em7, d i play is actually a dminor and a d\f you end up only having to move your pointer and middle finger and can play a ton of songs.

Re:

What song is that? Lol. I got my strings on, bought an electric tuner and got it tuned and I was spent a couple days trying to get used to a couple chords. Can't remember which ones they were bit I've been playing air guitar with them a lot when I'm bored hoping to get my fingers used to just moving together and it helps me remember the position if I keep doing that

Just got a new casino. Been playing an ovation for years. Beating the crap out of the casino, going to have to ease up on the strings a little. Forgot how many different sounds you can make with your geetar plugged up.

Welp, after diddling around with this for a little I've realized that Willie and Mark have done some good "betcha can't play this" on this record. Gonna be a tough one.

Man i love it, definitely a huge improvement over Resolution. I'm especially fond of the variety. Usually when bands try new things, it turns for the worst, but this is a great move in my book. I love the fact that Chino is on Embers! I love Deftones, that collab gave me a little chub when I first heard it.

As for them trying to outdo each other, that is for sure! And they are torturing the hell out of John, I'm sure lol. I don't give many bassists credit, because bass is nothing like lead, but John is a damn good metal bassist. ...I take that back, I also give Lemmy credit as a bassist, he's a badass all the way around lol.

512 is one of my favorites, kinda has a Walk With Me In Hell vibe. Sounds like it's straight off of Sacrement. 512 was the number of the cell Randy was in. Dude has some legit material to write about from that whole ordeal.

It's way better than resolution for sure. Randy sounds as good as ever and I'm digging the lower toned vocals more and more. 512 and Embers are probably my favorites so far too. There's another song on there that I can't remember the name of that reminds me a lot of Again We Will Rise. Anything that sounds like anything on Sacrament is okay in my book.

Re:

Man i wanna see Parkway Drive live! That would be badass. Wish they would play closer. I don't think there's a band out there worth fighting Atlanta traffic lol. Well maybe System of a Down, IF they were like they used to be before Serj lost the ability to sing in anything resembling an aggressive tone. I fawking love some System
