Can someone get me an actual height measurement of a 39" red label and a 40" maxxis installed on their rig?

The tread width and diameter, approximate weight, and air pressure would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Red Label

38.25" @ 8psi

Around 70% tread

Mounted on a 17x9 wheel, but after beadlock install is closer to 10". Tires are bolted to rig, but jackstands are supporting most of the weight.

11" wide at tread, 13.50" overall width.

Red Label 39 x 13.50 measures pretty dead on. Mine was right on 39 exactly with anywhere from 8-10 psi, 80-90% tread.

If you are deciding between the two, nothing sticks like a Red!!!! :****:

My 42" sx2s measure 37.5" tall on my yj.

I'm Thinking of changing to 43 sticky sx's, 40" treps, or 39" reds.

Trying to compare actual installed heights and tread widths.

If I had another rig right now, no way I'd go with anything other than reds. Everybody has their opinions, but 39 reds are the only way to go for me. Only way I'd recommend 43 stickys is if you are bouncing ****. If you've got the drivetrain to hold to em, 39 reds would make it like you had a new rig!

I was impressed by karatejosh red labels and that's what got me thinking about changing. I'm on tons with all chromo stuff in the front. I'm guessing my next weak link is my dana 300.

Thanks for your input.

You are over biult you will be fine I'm running reds with toothpicks and it's worth the carnage

Get stickys and don't look back. The 300 MIGHT break if you are landing under power or getting bound up in some bad spots but otherwise it should be ok. Austin has been running a 300 in his YJ for a few years now with 39 reds and a HP60/14. The 60 only has chromo stubs, spicer joints and RPM HD flanges and the 300 has broken before those did, BUT he was hammering on the wall at DPG when it did that. Since going back with HD outputs, no issues.

My 300 is travel Watford's old one, out of his black yj. It has 4:1s and HD outputs. I feel like I can't never wheel as hard as he did with it. Haha.

My stock 300 grenaded with a single hop on a dirt hill with 38.5s.

My front has ecgs/superior shafts and flanges with Spicer joints. Plan to swap to super joints when I get stickies.

Thanks for everyone's input.

You are correct, I've broke my dana 300 outputs last two times I went out. I'd be easy on the pedal if you want it to live

What I'm figuring out, is that I'm not going to lose any diff clearance going to a 39 or 40 bfg or trep, as my "42s" are so small when aired down. And with stickies no need to air they down as much. While 43 sx's are much taller than my 42 sx2s

39 reds and 40 treps are 1/2" or so taller than my sx2s, and my sx2s suck at any more than 6 psi.
