Any of you guys have silicon or other kind of bands?
I've stop wearing mine a year or two into marriage (been married 11 now) and wouldn't mind wearing something everyday.

On a side note of almost tattooed one on twice in the last couple years

Re: Wedding band alternatives

I wear tungsten carbide. It's a little heavy but doesn't bend and distort like gold, they say they won't scratch but they do.

Re: Wedding band alternatives

I've been rockin a qualo the last few years. It was like $30 off Amazon. Comfortable and durable, it lasted a year in Afghanistan and around the shop since. Before that I hadn't really worn anything since we got married due to work.

Re: Wedding band alternatives

I wear a silicone one. Works great. Just that some of the cleaning solvents in parts washers will make it swell up. Wash with soap and water and it's good to go.

Wedding band alternatives

I€™m on my 3rd qalo and have a tungsten ring. I definitely prefer the qalo. Super durable and comfortable. I'm going on about 5 Years with them.

Re: Wedding band alternatives

I wear a silicone one now. I had a tungsten but ended up shattering it.

Re: Wedding band alternatives

Been wearing a qualo since I got married, so about a month and a half now. ????

From someone who has spent their life avoiding wearing any kind of jewelry, including watches, it's not bad.
I bought it because working around industrial equipment and electrical, I figured it'd be a good bit safer.

Re: Wedding band alternatives

I have titanium, super light for the size and durable. But with the way I work it gets hung on everything so it stay in the nite stand drawer.

Re: Wedding band alternatives

After almost losing a finger multiple times and also burning my finger from grounding on welding bench I went to a qalo. Hated that . Taken welding gloves or any other kind of gloves on and off muitlple times a day made it very annoying as the ring grabbed in the glove and rolled off all the time. I quit wearing a ring all together

Re: Wedding band alternatives

Been married 29 years now. Never wore a ring. Seen / to many friends that have had removed along with their finger. Worked in a plastic molding shop for over 30 years. And have been wrenching on one thing or another since before I was out of diapers. Wife was fine with me not having one. She figured it was safer for my fingers and that I would just probable take it off and lose it anyway.
Been thinking about getting a tattoo

Re: Wedding band alternatives

Ole lady bought me this 7 pack of silicone rings on Amazon for $1. I have a nice ring we used for the ceremony and I take to nice places but I wear this black one everyday and I have other colors I could choose from if i wanted.

Surprised you guys wear anything considering how many of you don't like yournwife :rolf: :stir: 7 pack of silicone off of Amazon has lasted 2 years.

Re: Wedding band alternatives

I stopped wearing my metal ring years ago after it caused me to get burned while welding. My wife wanted to claim me so she started buying silicone rings. I like them but they do swell up with solvents or gas. I go though about 1 a year. Either I tear it or I ruin it somehow. I recommend them.

I clicked this thinking it was about musical entertainment at the wedding...

Re: Wedding band alternatives

You can get some off brand silicone rings on Amazon for cheap. Wife got me a 3-pack for Christmas because I finally broke my other.

I have a nice shiny Tungsten ring I put on when we got to look nice, but its heavy and not as comfortable.. Otherwise I just wear one of the silicone ones.

You'd probably really like one of the silicone offerings.
