Project Sierra Grande poco dinero$

website doesn't but i will get rid of it cheap so if u know anybody or anything pass the word on. Ireally need it gone

You will find that fullsize rigs aren't the best for the trails around here. My dang Ford just doesn't fit anywhere :redneck: . I would narrow the front, dovetail/bob the rear, cutout the fenders, and have some good 'ole big rig fun:clappy:

sweet thanks for the info all! I am interested in the bob and dovetail ideas... I will search around for advice on how to get that started.

bobin it is easy i would just chop it right behind the back of ur spring mounts since thats as close as u can go. Dovetailing stuff requires atleast somwhat of a knowledge of sheetmetal work. I took autobody classes for 2 yrs and it looks alot easier then it can be. U always can do what i am doing this weekend bobing my truck off right behind the leaf mounts and taking 10in out of my wheelbase. Still wont be no yota but alot more manuverable.

im a fullsize and a small truck owner, you cant get discouraged and put out by comments on here. some are good, and some people just try to put you down to :stirpot:

i have a fullsize buid thread and am about the only one who posts on it, but its been looked at like 400 times already.

i seen your truck on craigslist, looks like a good point to start at, i just dont have the cash flow to pick it up, but if i was you i wouldnt sell it.

okay...its been a minute since I posted up on here about the project but I actually have an update.
I am going to pick up some 36" Ground Hawgs for super cheap....I know you get what you pay for but they look about half used and well I need to get out in the snow. I will post up pics later today.

Oh hey, does anyone have expierience running the Hawgs? I never ever see them out here.. a little old school i suppose but you take what you can get.

Also ran the 40's on my old 72 Chevy, work good and lasted a longtime, that was along time ago, I can try to find some pics. They did work great in the Mudd.

yeah they are like mud machines i still can't get past the weight of them tho its like just asking to blow axle shafts

well here they are! Am headed on out to Evans Sunday and maybe monday will be towing it out there just in case something goes wrong:redneck:

YEP! The wifey pitched in and we had a nice day of de-constructing Crusty. We pick up the new 38"s friday and hope to get the rear welded ASAP!

Here are a few pics of todays work.
The old nuts were too rusted to un-screw so we grinded and pounded em out then used a jack to lift the bed off and on to the trailer. Was a good day.

Our departure angle is awsome NOW! We went from 18 1/2 feet to 16 feet 4 inches overall. Well as soon as I get the rest of the frame cut off.
