HB 2150, Recreational Immunity is moving to Exec!

Done. WA land owners need this as do 4x4, ATV, dirt bike users.

    87 tbi 454

Makes sense. I would look into a trade for a 350. Someone a few posts back offered a TBI 350 for trade. I would look into it. The weight would be better for what you are wanting to do.

This to me says SBC. The BBC is a heavy motor and would not lend well to a mild rig in the sand. If you have run the LS motors in the past then why not go that way?

    87 tbi 454

I think you missed what I wrote all together. Never said the TBI was better, or that it had more power then an LS. I said you can't compare an LS to an 80's TBI motor cause they are two different worlds. I have dealt with both and know the LS is a better power maker. He was asking about the 454...

    87 tbi 454

Not fair to compare the late 80's TBI to the newer LS engines as far as power and MPG. The LS was built to replace the motor and fueling that replaced the 80's TBI. I would want the 454 TBI in a crew cab 4x4 long bed. You are going to want the torque and can do mild easy mods to build a bit more...

    rockcrawler hoods....???

I was looking around trying to find a place that sells the hood with the fender flare molded into it for the TJ. I see them on Chris Durham's site but no pricing or way to order them. Not looking to buy one right now but wanted to see what they go for. Planning ahead for the next stage of the TJ...

Love the TJ. What are your specs on it?

    Ultimate snow tire?

Toyo's are really only any good in snow up to half the tire in depth. I ran a set on a DD for two seasons and never had an issue until I got into the deeper stuff. For deep snow a wide foot print is king. less psi on the ground means it will float better. With the move that my wife and I are...

For all of you guys with tube chassis'

Maybe move the ports for the brake/fuel line to contour with the tube and open up the hole to be able to have some sort of an isolator. This way it would not put any holes in the lines and would last longer. If done with 1, 2, and 3 hole options then I could see them selling to people who would...

    Rieter in the herald

This is why just starting another wheeling area outside the system will fail. Its the old way and is not working anymore. Now we must deal with the DNR/FS and at some point a private parks will be the only way. I just hope that's not for a long time as it is hard to get one going in this state.

    Rieter in the herald

I joined this site not before the place was closed and saw allot of people bitching about it closing. They talked of how it was gone and would never be open again. Now that the hard work of others has gotten it to the point of starting to open ANY trails, some are still bitching. So it wont have...

    pizza cutters

I would have to say weight has alot to do with it. If you are in a heavier rig then a wider tire will work well and spread out the weight a little bit. On a lighter rig a skinny tire will do well as there is less weight to spread. The ground psi could be the same on a heavy rig with wide meats...

    In your opinion :)wheelbase

Hell at 128 1/2 that thing would climb a wall I bet. Thats long.

    In your opinion :)wheelbase

The way I lookat it that you want it to fit in the trails you an to run. If the area you wheel is open and you have a wide trail then go with as long as you wish. For most of the trails I run a shorter wheelbase works well and does not need to make 3-4 point turns. Tire size is big as you...

Roll cage design for worst case scenario?

X2 on the Chromo. Allot of rigs build for hits at high speed are also built to have some give in the cage. The cage may be out of shape and not good to use again but the driver walks away. For a wheeling rig just have a good well built inner cage and 5 point belts. Run some tube for doors bars...
