    Finally....Da new rig..

Man that thing looks killer! Love the buggies people have been building with all the style. Wish I could afford one, haha ~T.J.

    Finally....Da new rig..

Are you worried about glare off the hood with that light bar? I've heard some people have had that issue. I think it might depend on the quality of the projected beam though? This thing is looking so good. I can't believe how much progress you have made. Makes me and my little project look...

    Finally....Da new rig..

Yeah, he talked on the phone with me after he was there. He invited me to go with him, but I had other commitments at the time. I want to stop by and check it out myself at some point. Maybe when he picks his stuff up I can tag along. ~T.J.

    Finally....Da new rig..

This looks SO good. It's a big change from the old one, but I think it's well deserved! You excited or nervous to learn to wheel a new rig? ~T.J.

My Shop, My Shop, My Shop!

On your load sheet you have one circuit listed as both the lift and the lift outlets. Wouldn't you want to run the lift on it's own circuit and outlets near it separate since the lift is more than likely 220 and the outlets you want 110? Looks great, wish I had the space for a shop at my...

    Dodge 5.9L water pump

I remember something about the coolant temperature sensor giving false readings after doing either the intake manifold plate gasket or the water pump job, can't remember which. I think it was the water pump. Either way, as I recall, something about the location of the sensor makes it easy to...

I think they did it wrong.

Oh. My mistake. I assumed you meant the "guy opens his shop for us" was the guy doing the suspension work/front axle and you were supposed to take it from him to fix it. If it was left like that, that's a whole other story. ~T.J.

I think they did it wrong.

They could just be for mockup while building links and he later planned to put the suspension through it's paces and measure for the correct shock length... Then again, the guy could have planned to re-use them as is, who knows. The fact is, it's not "done" and we don't know what the finished...

I think they did it wrong.

You can flip the 3rd member over and it will mount up just fine and run the correct direction. Tacoma SAS guys have done it before plenty of times instead of swapping t-cases, using custom housings, etc. No need to toss it, if he isn't going to use it, sell it to someone with a Tacoma that...

    GM Factory Scan Tool/Programming Questions

I have a 2006 GMC Duramax that I have a couple questions about. I assume the factory tool has the ability to check functions and such of all the existing modules? I have heard that the calibrations can be updated as well, I assume I need a dealer to scan it to see if there are any available...

    Toyota oil presser question

Also, if the chain slaps the cover too much it can and will eventually wear through into the coolant jacket and leak coolant into the oil. That's a good way to destroy the bearings when all it needed was a $150 timing set. ~T.J.

    1985 Popular Mechanics - Maintain & Repair 4-Wheel Drive

    Hydro-Boost Brake Advice Please

Thank everyone. I had thought about checking the pads, but the thought of getting that thing back off the ground, getting the wheels off, and getting under it again wasn't too appealing. The jacks won't lift it off the ground, so I actually have to use bottle jacks and jack stands and I can...

    Hydro-Boost Brake Advice Please

I haven't had to do too much with hydro boost brakes before since I have never owned anything that has had them, nor did any of the shops I worked at service vehicles that would have had them. That said, my fiancee's family has a 32' GM chassis motorhome (mid 90s with about 20K miles on it)...

    winch solenoid question.

Give them a call and ask? They have pretty good customer service in my experience. When the solenoid on mine died, they sent me a new one free. ~T.J.

    RV Electronic Tech

If you got an in-dash GPS navigation receiver (car stereo) they have provisions for backup cameras and will switch to backup camera mode when you put it into reverse. Just a thought. ~T.J.
