    Parking brake Toy/60 question

Nothing all that bad with t case brake. Just think is should have enough holding power (new out of box) that when i be stupid and try driving with the brake on I could feel it. Although with all the gearing of t cases I guess its a lot of torque. Line lock is addition to a t case brake sounds good.

    Parking brake Toy/60 question

Yep, did some more searching and most say hard to adjust/weak holding power. I will probably just go with another t-case brake. How about a t-case e brake like allpro or sky, and connecting it to a air brake pot (like on semi trucks). Mount the air pot on the frame where the existing cable would...

    Parking brake Toy/60 question

Thinking about a parking brake on my Dana 60 rear with disk brakes. Truck is 4runner with Toyota cases. I have had T case e brake on Toyota with mixed results. How about Elderodo disk brake calipers with built in e brake? Opinions?

    Light weight welding helmet

Have an older Jackson helmet with an auto darkening 2"x4 1/4" replacement lens. It has fulfilled my needs in the past when I welded just for friends or my self hobby style. Recently my mig welding has turned into money generating work that has me welding on and off for 8 hrs daily, and my neck...

I have seen this before from bent's truck wile folowing him on the trail. His truck is an 88 efi with over 300,000 miles on only a head rebuild(he bought the truck new), but it runs great but every once and a while on the trail it spits out some blue smoke and then the next 2 times you wheel...

What thickness of square tubing for flatbed?

I belive you can make square tube flatbeds, bumpers, and sliders look quite good if you are carefull and know what you are doing, but trying to make exos or roll cages out of square is obvisly not going to look very good at all.

    Mig welding over-head???

I have the best luck turning the heat (and speed equaly) lower than what you would use normaly. I move the gun in a stiching motion like I was stick welding pushing the filler into the crack (weld) and trying to avoid making a molten glob that would drip out. And having an extremely clean, bare...

    quick change winch mounts anyone?

My truck sports a receiver style winch setup. The winch is an old bellevue winch (old warn standup style) mounted on a home built receiver base. My built front bumper has an integrated 2" receiver for the winch, and my flatbed has a receiver recessed 18" back in the bed so the winch dosnt stick...

    Hy-steer T.R.E allready sloppy

just pulling both front tires off the wheeler and noticed that both TRE's had a good 1/8th of slop in them. The drag link ends were still good as new. Its a allpro hy-steer kit about 3 years old ( FJ-80 ends I think ? ). I am running 35's, a steering damper on the tierid, and no hydro, not a...
