Couple broken rigs on Rocky saddle this year. I had a TJ quit just past the burned area that we had to leave overnight and then tow out the next day...That was a bitch driving a dead rig out.

Won't be able to make "Pick up a mtn" this year, but we did pick up trash this weekend when we were up there...Even snowed on us for a few minutes on the shoestring on sunday..lol.. Trails were in pretty good shape and less trash than usual it seemed like..I've been noticing less and less trash...

From the description it sounds like they are almost still on the ridge...like upper woodpecker or your hill....:D That would make sense though if they were coming up from Buck meadows... there is a big hole just before you get on the ridge and just before the shoestring/Region4 turnoff there is...

Take a picture of it next time.... I was just through there last friday and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but I had other things to worry about....At the large puddle the trail makes a hard right? Are you still on the ridge when it makes the left? Naches being on the left side and...

I ran them on my flatty for awhile.. a short while...They wouldn't stick to a slippery sidehill for anything. But I didn't cut em either..just sent them down the road. they did go straight up and down like a champ though.

The old 601 trail you guys refer to is the current 330 trail. The trail was closed years ago due to the steep hill you refer to. The Wandering Willys Jeep club through the PNW re-routed the trail around the closed area to reopen it somewhere close to 15 years ago now. I was part of that process...

Sam...Is there a reason your right front and left rear tire are on backwards? Switch positions on the rig and you should be good to go....Groove them for a little better lateral stability and they might work better...the ride will still suck but....

Yer gonna need a saw....bring extra fuel for the rig and the saw.... and a file too... We started up leaning tree and that's about all we ran....the junction to head to short and dirty ridge/jeepin nomad meadow was virgin still last weekend. We came down via Spencer Creek. I had planned to run...

Was up there on sleds sunday.....Figured it was some of you....Didn't see any 4x4 tracks at the rocks yet... Plenty of snow still....

Here's what the Funny rocks looked like as of saturday march 20th.... FWIW there is no snow at the snowpark on manastash road... You hit snow at the second bridge crossing where the road starts climbing. Still a few feet of snow at Riders camp and a bunch up top but it's pretty hard and crusty..

Full width doesn't fit well. it kills trees. We ran 601 and started 651A saturday the 19th before someone broke an axleshaft. Picked up trash on the roads from there on out. Good trip.. I love Rimrock.
