Make sure you upgrade to metal gears in the tranny. I have blown two sets of the plastics and it sucks setting up the VF dig everytime as it is picky about tolerances...at least mine is
The problem with not balancing though if your esc voltage cutoff is say 9 volts and one cell hits 3 volts while the other two are at 3.7 the cutoff won't work before the cell is trashed. More than likely they won't get out of balance that bad but I wouldn't want to take the chance with an...
I am using the Energizer AA rechargables also and they work pretty good for me. The only thing I want to do is set it up so I can use my good charger and not the crappy trickle charger that was made for them. On my old radio got about 6-8 hours runtime but with the new dx3r it lasts at least 14...
I doubt I have the qualifications you are looking for Crash...but if you don't get any other volunteers I am on here quite a bit even though I haven't been posting much and plan on comping quite a bit this summer with both the Oregon and Washington RC guys
Well the AX10 is hardly going to be an AX10 anymore. Got tired of not being able to make the chassis work the way I wanted it to with my upper link lengths and mounting locations...especially with the the VF dig. Have a new GC2 chassis on the way so the only AX components left are the...
I think it's as easy as saying comp rig or basher? If it's just for personal enjoyment go with the axial kit. If for comp then build from scratch. I've already eliminated quite a bit of my original axial kit with upgrades
You need 30 days and 30 posts to be able to view it.
And if your the type of person that always wants more then I would build from the ground up...otherwise go with the scorpion kit and build it but allow for expasnsion...like with a 3 channel radio which will allow for a dig system
If I were to do it starting over as Crash so wisely stated pick out your axles first...then chassis then transmission/electronics and everything else kind of falls in place
I think the MIP d-shafts look too heavy.
And here are a couple other options for lockers

I like the look of these Chromo's and for $26 a pair that's a steal...
I ordered about 18 hours after they posted the sale and I'm still waiting too :booo:
Some people that ordered after me have already received theirs :booo:
which lizards did you have...I have heard the race compounds actually aren't that bad. If you're talking about the stock lizards then ya they sucki hairy ballz
Ended up narrowing the chassis to 63mm outside to outside of chassis. I think factory they are at 83mm. Was shooting for 59mm but had to leave some room for the dig that still hasn't made it's way here yet. Also mounted my shocks lower to get a bit more ride height. I need to get some stiffer...
I must be really lucky with my d-lines. I had the truck stuck this weekend lifting the whole chassis by one wedged tire and the drivelines never even budged
Yep...gotta get some new pics of it. Beat it pretty good yesterday at the Lunsford Gas Blast and got some more changes to make. I'll update my other thread so as not to derail this one too bad
