08 Silverado ignition switch/key cylinder?

08 Silverado, 110k. No issues at all til now.

Got in the truck, started up great, drove to work, turned the key off and the gauges turned off as if the truck was off. Engine kept on running. I cycled the key, dash lit up like everything was normal and the truck was running. Turned it off, removed the key and it kept on running. Once I opened the door it shut off. My guess is the ignition switch is bleeding accessory power? Anybody have any experience with that?

I had one do the same thing once and it was a ground wire on the back of the head.

That's odd. I'll check that.

Edit: just took a look. I only see one ground to the back of the motor(drivers side from firewall to back of head) and it seems good.

Hahaha might be right. I'm ordering an ignition switch. 99% sure that's it

Ignition switch didn't do it. Any input or anybody know a Chevy mechanic that might know?

Do you have an after market radio? Light bar? Etc?

Stock radio. Added an amp thru a hi low converter off the speaker outputs. I have a couple 4x4 cubes in the fog lights. Everything has been there over a year.
