14 bolt dana 50 hybrid.

Im in the process of building my hybrid axle. Tryin to keep it cheep (HAHAHAHA). I wanna put 35 spline dana 60 inners inside the 14 bolt. Sooooooooo my question is will dana 60 35 spline 16 tooth side gears mesh in a 14 bolt carrirer. The Dana 60 side can be milled down to fit in the 14 bolt carrier just need to figure out how to get the teeth to mesh.

if it don't fit right grind the teeth off the spider gears and weld it all into a ball.

I take it you are planning to run some off-the-shelf stock length inners?

That's the plan. Yeah I figured I could just grind it and make it fit.

Are you going to use superduty unit bearing style outers, or TTB ?

What's the deal with the 14 bolt center in the same length as the low pinion 60 location ? I heard that people have some problems doing it

The pinion on a 14 bolt is offset to the right (when looking at the diff cover) compared to a Dana axle, because the ring gear is centered in the "chunk".

It puts the driveshaft a lot closer to the motor/trans
