22re aftermarket cam Qs

so i bought a offroad engine builder head(the expesive one) about 5 years ago and i never had any problems doing a valve job on it. i bought a cam from enginebuilder, or one that they recommended for the head but i cant really remember which one it is . i just put it in and cant get the valves to quiet down. i set em to .008 and .0012 if i remeber right, whatever is stock. ive done the valves a bunch of times but its just not working. PLEASE HELP! because this is the last thing to do before my truck is all done.

Go .007 and .011 cold:awesomework: Thats what I always would set my R-series engines at

Did you email Ted? He is good about helping.

I ran their crawler cam in my last truck, was as quiet as whatever was in it before the swap set to .07 and .011. I'd give Ted a call.

8 and 12 sounds right, I have the crawler cam in mine think that's what I adjusted mine too

.007 and .011 on all cams I deal with. No ticking when done correctly.
