came across a full set of 28x10x14 mongrels for a heck of a price.

the only thing im worried about is the terrain around alabama.

i dont do any mud riding. but im worried about how theyll do on slick rocks.

also what is anyones thoughts on cutting them to stagger the lugs on the tread and get some extra bite?

was thinking about the roctances before i came across these.

just need some thoughts,, Thanks

I haven't run mongrels, but I have black waters and love them. If that deal fell through, I would recommend them. All my buddies have roctanes and I have be black waters and these things grip. They are very impressive.

I have 30" mongrels on my 1000 and love them really tough tire , light weight , bead guard ,really soft to even if you get in some mud they will clean out with a lil wheel spin . Mine will even chirp a lil on dry rocks and pavement. Over all I love them but I go around the mud to so depends on what you want.

From what I've read on the rzr forums they really only do good on hard packed terrain.

My thoughts were to cut some lugs out and maybe give it some more to grab.

For example:

I've seen them cut that way before but with mine I haven't felt a need to. They have plenty of grip.
