83 toy quit runnin

ok so my 83 wheeler craped out on me today... it was running good then just died and will not start. ive changed the plugs check the fuel pump. pulled the coil wire and grounded it out (still sparks) pulled the plugs to see if they would spart and nothing. the coil is getting hot. the weird thing is that there will be no spark when i turn the key. but once i click the key off there is a spark. its weird and i have no idea. maybe the dizzy is bad or the coil or pick up?? any ideas out there?

I just went through this very same thing, ended up fixing it with a different coil ignighter. I have one here that will work on an 83
