We took a 900 S and stripped it down for Rally Raid racing in the southeast. The customer wanted chromoly tube and tig welding, for weight savings and strength. This setup is about a 19% weight savings compared to our .120 DOM cage.

We based the cage off our production 900 S cage, but we built it 3" taller based on the customer's request. This is still 2" lower than a factory cage. The cage is built from 1.75" OD .095 chromoly tubing, with 1.25" OD supporting tubes.

The rear bumper is built in to the cage and attaches to factory mounting points at the bottom of the chassis.

We built fixed doors using all 1.25" OD .095 chromoly, the door frame is supported at the bottom with an OD tube clamp to the side bar of the chassis. The 16 gauge aluminum door skin is attached using quarter-turn fasteners.

We also built a race bumper for the front that attaches at the bottom of the chassis and at the radiator support area.

We also moved the radiator to the back. The idea is to prevent it from getting packed with mud and overheating during a race. It also keeps it out of harms way in case of a collision or rollover.

Since this is a race RZR we cut the bed out to reduce weight and help with cooling the rear radiator. May not seem like much but mud packing into the inner fender area can get heavy, but if there isn't an inner fender area, well... less weight.

We also added our rocker guards (rock sliders/tree kickers). They mount using factory mounting locations but do require drilling for the bolts to sandwich the frame.
