90's throw back....Manche build

Any plans for bedside replacement? Surely you won't have to rebuild the rib cage every time right?

This thread is motivation on most days, other days I open it up and just want to start over on my junk molaugh

The rib cage dino thing will be in the cab a pillars. Bedsides are just spot welded to the square tubing. Most repairs will be done with a hammer/ dolly. Full taco will get replaced.

Thanks flatland

Ran out to the shop to get the legs fit, before I mow the yard in these after- hurricane Matthew winds...

Getting closer. Still have to put the aluminum in, weld, laminate, weld again, but I'm liking the end product- in my head anyway, lol.

Here is a picture of my rub rails (nerf bars, what have you). Slugged with solid aluminum to keep the dom from getting smashed to the point of replacement. Cuz I'm lazy and hate replacing dented tubing. Same idea in the trailing arms, to maintain the dom.

What size tube are you starting with, 2"—0.250?

I was hoping for some speed holes or I beam design or something

Yes on tube diameter/thickness.

Patience...they're not done ;)

My only concern is how terrible that's gonna look after a year or so of abuse. . . . . :)

Holy smokes. I love the fab work. I think the trailing arm idea and invention is like automatic transmission fluid passage technology. It's just super cool.

Keep it up. I really enjoy the build

You using 6061 or 7075? Whit 7075 that will get expensive.

His fab skills are so good he's literally fabbing a way to hide money.
