Thanks ridedred. It was a Bronco Design body. It was a nice unit, my guy just decided he wanted steel after seeing glass. And the folks at bronco design were very understanding and helpful in keeping the good name and relations associated with they're company.

They also had this in the parking lot when I arrived...Very cool.

Huge paddle underneath that could probably cross the Mississippi.

I seen this headed south near locust Grove GA. I remembered seeing it on here but could remember the thread. Also liking the build. Been wanting to do exactly what you are doing with a mj.

Currently sitting 29" at the bottom of door, 71" to drip rail (+/-2" more to top of roof), 116.5" wheelbase- cheated 2" on front axle and 1 on rear (113.5 stock) still trying to maintain equal length shafts. Subframe will be +/-11" for a 20" belly. The cab is pretty wide at 54" inside the rockers, roughly 62"outside.



I can still bring the shell down 2 more inches but I don't want to sacrifice head/legroom until I get some seats here.

More layout done today, no burning yet. Few new parts arrived as well as my used cable shifter.

The rotors are huge

Wms on rear ended up being 66.25, with outside of tire 81.

Thanks, probably leave the front alone but cut to tuck at full bump, but the bed skins will get tightened up some, to the tune of a full size spare inside.

Well no good updates yet. Been having some issues with this used front housing. Discovered today that the short side of the housing is bent. So much so that the axle shaft will not seat in the inner c due to interference with the bell of the c. I suppose before I junk this housing and invest a couple more grand on a new housing and new c's, I'm going to cut the tube at the weld to the center section and attempt to get everything back in line. I can sleeve it internally, and there will be a truss for the steering ram. Any suggestions? The housing will be junk anyway if this doesn't work.

3.5", .250 wall

Edit: I have room to slip in a 3", .120 sleeve all the way back to the seal, welded on both ends, plugged on the tube, and of course welded as back up to the initial cut to straighten the section.

Cut, sleeve & rock out! I'd be surprised if you could heat and straiten that side but what I guess you could try before you cut.

Finally, front axle under the truck, everything moved into position, aside from the rear axle may move back another 1-2 inches, sitting at 115" wb now.

Next workday will finally be gluing some junk together...

Yes it is. I wish I could bring it back a few more inches. The passenger head is even with the door opening. The fire wall, dog box, will be interesting to create.



In my buggy the crank was 18" behind my front axle tube. I'm trying to get the same balance with this build, (buggy was 53/47). I think I can with a mounted spare aft of the axle.



With trying to maintain the outward appearance of the truck, the front fender opening has shoehorned me to slide everything back to get full uptravel, and to the keep tire out of the headlights.
