Real-world experience on a trail rig that points one way or the other?
I'm ditching the 30-amp stock setup and have a 105-amp CS130 mounted up, but not wired yet. I need to order a harness pigtail or track one down locally, but then I need to decide if the remote sensing is really worth the extra hassle.
I understand the argument for technical benefits of a remote sensing system, but do they translate to any noticeable difference over a simple 1-wire setup?
I don't have an idiot light to hook up, but it wouldn't be a big deal to add one. The existing amp gauge would probably melt, so I'm planning to run a volt gauge instead.
