I did some 3rd party investigating and it seems as if GoDaddy had major issues this morning... HL was still pingable but the hops were enormous, essentially timing out and not working... Database issues was the result.

If you host with NoDaddy, then it was prolly pingable just was timing out.
Hit the fan around 8ish...
