I have a NP205 case and would like to set my heep up for passenger side drop for the GM D44 front end that I have...

Does anybody have any info on how to mate those 2 up?

Have you seen how big a 205 is? Just get a ford 44 and keep the 231

I could do that..but I already have the Chevy D44... I was more interested in the Strength of the 205.. 231's can hold there own.. but once I have a 205 mated..then couldnt I jump to the 203/205 kit or does that put the 203 infront of the 205?

just asking questions..

Remember drive line angle on the rear and you will need to add ton of cross support for that 205. That thing is not going to hang off that aw4 very well.

Also the gearing in a 231 is 2.72 to 1 and most 205 gears are 1.98 to 1. So you will lose crawl ratio by going to that.

I agree with the 300 way better way to go.

Yeah you really should leave the 205's to the fullsize trucks besides that jeep probably don't have enuogh power to run the weight of a205

I went the 300 route, rebuilt it, flipped it, and cable twinsticked it, got it mated to my ax 15 I love the set up, plus the ration on 300's is like 2.6 something plenty low enough for your everyday wheeling don't get the 4 to 1 unless you wanna break ****, and do straight up rockcrawling, I hate how stupidly low 4to1 is

I disagree, the 4:1 is where its at.

I plan on running a Chevy D44 and a 12bolt rear with 4.56's and 36" TSL's...

But Thanks for the insite.. I will find me a D300..what does the adapter price cost and does anybody have a D300?
