Buggy build "Indecision"

Re: 3.8 supercharged buggy build

I'm a builder, not a buyer. I'm sure it's great but it's just me. I built my own 203/205 doubler just to see if I could.

Re: 3.8 supercharged buggy build

Ok time to bump this up. Changed directions a little. Acquired a 5.3 and sold the 3800. Time to get to bending. Unfortunately life has gotten in the way and I've not had any time to work on the build. I'm going to try to get things rearranged this week and start bending so I'll post some pics as I go.

Re: 3.8 supercharged buggy build

Ok finally getting a little time to work on my junk. Gonna try to add a little every day or every other. Here are the pics from this evening. Worked a couple hours.

Re: Unnamed buggy build maybe call it indecision

Cool name.

Indecision may or may not be my problem. Jimmy Buffett

Re: Unnamed buggy build maybe call it indecision

Thanks. I miss my old buggy like crazy. I have my ranger to wheel but it's just not the same. Being at harlan gave me the motivation needed.

Re: Unnamed buggy build maybe call it indecision

I like the duel b pillar, how one runs like a roll bar, and the other goes forward. I've never noticed it done that way.
However I'm not a huge fan of the "old man door bars".
Keep up the good work. It already looks better then m build.

Re: Unnamed buggy build maybe call it indecision

Mike got this started for me about the time my father in law passed away and I didn't have time to mess with it. The original start was not exactly the way I would have gone. So I voiced it even though I felt like a **** since my buddy was just helping me out. So he changed a few things as per my request and this is what we got. The dual b piller was all Mike. I think it will turn out awesome. I'm just taking my time with it as hard as it may be.

Re: Unnamed buggy build maybe call it indecision

Hell yea! I'll be following along!! Looks good man. Question.. Is it sideways in the garage? now we know ur not that dumb, but I would bet someone has built a rig and not been able to get it out of garage! Haha. Can't wait to see the progress. Be glad u have buddies to help. I have one that I trust to help and he doesn't even off-road.. Just drag races. How nice it would be to have some more folks with the same interest near by. Get to it buddy!

Re: Unnamed buggy build maybe call it indecision

Yes it is sideways in the garage. It will definitely come out when done though. I have it turned that way as to not interfere with the bender which is mounted in the center of the garage. It's a 30x30 garage. Is not blocking the 16 ft door so I can still get side jobs in and out.

Re: Unnamed buggy build maybe call it indecision

Ha! Sounds like we Have damn near the same set up.. Putting the bender in the middle, welded to the metal support pole in the middle of my garage might I add. Haha. Looking forward to progress buddy! I wanna build a chassis so bad.. Just want it to be right.. That's where I may struggle. Ha

Re: Unnamed buggy build maybe call it indecision

There are plenty of people on here that know how to build a chassis structurally correct. All you would have to do is ask. I can't say that I even know all I need to know. The biggest thing is don't be afraid to ask for advice. Travis from barnyard fab it is a good friend of mine and he is who ask when I need advise. I still need so many things that cost so much money so I have to take side jobs to help finance my buggy build. Plus I'm putting an LS in my GTO at the moment so that is sucking up quite a bit of my play money.

Re: Unnamed buggy build maybe call it indecision

Not a damn bit. Had to go pick up the rest of the stone for my foundation Saturday and had family **** Sunday. I'm going to work a little at it tomorrow evening. Appreciate you checking though.

Re: Unnamed buggy build maybe call it indecision

Got a chance to finally work on my chassis a bit today. Here are some progress pics.
