C4 tech and opinions wanted!

I am putting together a small rock bouncer style buggy, I am trying to keep the drivetrain as short as possible which leads to the C4/Atlas combo. Issue number one.. Has anyone mounted a C4 to an Ls? I have tried researching but havnt found much info, I know a Jw ultra bell housing for a C4 to Chevy small block would hook the motor to the transmission but what do you do about a flex plate and torque converter? Secondly for the guys running a C4 what upgrades sis you do to make it survive? I know it's the under dog but I am trying to keep it as short as possible, shooting for around 2,500- 2,800 lbs with a 100" wheelbase.

Sounds like a good way to spend too much money reinventing the wheel .... what's the length difference in a c4 vs th350/400 ? Heck I'm not too sure the c4 is shorter

C4 and adapter 19.9", turbo 350 and adapter 23" plus it is physically bigger around. I tryed searching a lot over the last couple days but could not find any tech.

What about the Power glide? It's something like 15" and a lil change. Do you already have the C4? I didn't realize the C4 was so small with the adapter.
