I Forgot?
so i have been haveing trouble finding a cold air intake for my 85 22re.. is there one out there? or have anyone ever modified one to work?
thanks for the help..

Downey used to sell one but they're out of business. IMHO, I think they're a waste of time and $.

Build or have someone build you an intake tube that replaces the restrictive one which goes over the fan shroud. That should help alot, plus cone filters bring the suck. Deck plate mod and never look back. :awesomework:

what is the deck plate mod?:eeek:

deck plate mod on an 85..... Nope.
LC engineering sells a new open element air filter and tube... NOT a cold air intake.
If you want a cold air intake for an 85 you'll probably need a snorkel, or you'll have to build one.

FYI.... cold air isn't going to gain you much, and if it draws air from the wrong spot, you might be saying bye-bye to your engine.
