Dimple dies?

I'm looking to plate my skid and boatsides on my buggy. I'm wanting to dimple die both. I was just wondering how you press the middle on skid plate. Do you have to get a larger press? Never done it before but I've heard it's pretty easy. Anyone have pictures or any insight?

Either use a big press with a wide bed, or get the dimple dies with a hole in them to use a pull bolt, or one of them hydraulic hole punches for electrical boxes

Draw bolt is only good for thin metal. You might be able to do it with a greenlee 7310. But it would be a bitch. I think the best bet is to find a press with a large enough bed.

I was just thinking of getting a older press and making a large press bed.

How thick material are you wanting to flare?
I have had great luck with the HF hydro setup like this:
SWAG Off Road Dimple Die Process, using Harbor Freight knock out punch set
I use JMR dies and have not found a time where ive been limited.. I still use my 20ton press for smaller stuff due to ease, but this is cake

I'm going to be using 3/16 to plate my boat sides and skid.
