Looking at getting some dimple dies. I have looked at every set known to man. My question is what ones do you guys use? What sizes do you use most? I don't mind to buy a large set but don't wanna buy ones that will never get used. So let's hear our input and why you got the ones you did. Thanks in advance

LRP-158105 Piece - 75", 1.0", 1.5", 2.0", 2.5"

I use this to kno knock out the holes and to dimple.

Barbedwireoffroad sells conduit sized dies, the knockout set above doesn't fit tube size exactly.

This!

I got my set from trick tools... it has 5 dies from 1/2" to 2.5"... They all get used and I'm probably going to buy a 3" single here soon. I wish my dies had a hole in the center so I wouldn't have to use the press to make the flared holes. If I ever get some free time that will be a mod that I do to them

looked at these before and I do like them. Do you feel the need for the through hole or is doing all the work in the press not that big of a deal?

Re:

The thru hole is sweet, because you're not limited to only flare on a press.
With the setup I posted you can flare on the rig, or whatever you're flaring...biggest thing is you're not limited to the size of the press frame

I have this kit, and so far it's worked awesome. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Dimple-Die-Tool-set-Complete-dzus-0-5-0-75-1-0-1-25-1-5-1-75-2-0-2-5-3-0-Fab-Car-/111665341123?nav=SEARCH

I got mine from Billy Bob on pirate too, also Nexgen offrod has them for a great price. I use a holesaw on a drillpress, works fine for mine, i originally tried a ebay kockout punch but it was sized for conduit, didn't match up quite right with my dies. I think you can order dies that match the conduit punch sizes though from swag maybe?

I'm an idiot. ::)
I thought it was punching holes without the pilot hole. I'm on board now, I thought it was something new, it's just a hydraulic knock out.
