Garrett Turbo Rebuild

It is very simple. Use a pick to make sure all the little areas that a
flow oil flow are clean. Those areas look like the bottom of your oven with baked on oil. I have had very good luck with rebuilding turbos. Make sure you mark the compressor wheels relation to the turbine and their relation to the housing. That is your best way to keep it balanced. If you wheels!are torn up at all, throw it away or have a shop do the work. I'd they are damaged there is no way for you to balance it.

What he ^ said pretty much sums it up. I've done a few Holsets(ones on my daily driver now pushing 40psi) and the hardest thing about them usually is getting the center chunk to separate from the exhaust housing. Everything else is pretty straightforward. Only thing I recommend is finding a very small set of snap ring pliers and a good set of picks.
