Gear Lube ?

Just Checked my runing gear , and after pulling the drain plug I found the gear Lube tobe foamy?( F&R ). The fluids were changed in Aug, The lube I used was not 9Ow:booo: it was SAE 8Ow-90. Is this too light, & is it normal for what I've used? I don't recall seing 9Ow foam before.

80-90w is all I ever use in my diffs. I use synthetic in my boxes though(redline)

Yes the foaming is normal. Did you check it cold?

Yes it was cold. I'm not having eny problems just something I hadn't seen before. :beer:

Normally, 9Ow is what I use BUT, I had a 5gl's of this 8Ow 90, So, I thought save some $ and use what I've got.
